A favorite October tradition returns as Dr. Bloom gets ready to turn another pumpkin into something incredible.
There’s a lot to love about October at Bloom Orthodontics. Halloween is around the corner, our Fall Bingo challenge is underway, and there’s one question we’re starting to hear around the office:
What is Dr. Bloom going to create out of a pumpkin this year?
If you’ve been around Bloom for a while, you know pumpkin carving takes on a whole different meaning around here.
Not Your Average Jack-o’-Lantern
When Dr. Bloom isn’t creating beautiful smiles, there’s a good chance he’s creating something else. Sculpting has long been one of his favorite hobbies, whether he’s working with clay, sand—or, every October, pumpkins.
And we’re not talking about a couple of triangle eyes and a toothy grin.
Over the years, Dr. Bloom has transformed pumpkins into some pretty incredible characters and creations. Each one starts with a pumpkin and a little inspiration, then slowly takes shape through carving and sculpting until it barely resembles a pumpkin at all.
Last year, we even asked our Bloom community to help choose the subject. The winning idea? Derpy from KPop Demon Hunters—and Dr. Bloom brought it to life in pumpkin form (above).
Now it’s almost time to see what he comes up with for 2026.
The pumpkins aren’t the only thing making October fun around the office. Our Fall Bingo challenge is happening all month long, with movie tickets up for grabs for completing five spaces in a row—and a slushie machine for anyone who conquers the entire card!
