Invisalign Treatment for Adults
Invisalign is an advanced orthodontic system designed to fit your smile, your goals, and your busy lifestyle. Using a series of custom-made clear aligners, Invisalign gradually moves teeth into their ideal position — comfortably and discreetly.
Thanks to decades of innovation, Invisalign clear aligners are now an excellent option for treating many orthodontic concerns. In fact, issues that once required years of braces can often be corrected more efficiently and with greater comfort using Invisalign.
If you're looking for Invisalign treatment in Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Castle Pines, or the South Denver area, Dr. Bloom and the team at Bloom Orthodontics are here to help.

How Does It Work?
Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear aligners that are worn for about one week at a time. Each new set of aligners gently moves your teeth a small amount closer to their final position.

Dr. Bloom often compares Invisalign to an animated film created one frame at a time. Each aligner represents a single “frame” in the process, gradually guiding teeth into alignment through precise, controlled movements.

This highly customized digital planning allows for exceptional accuracy and efficiency — helping many patients complete treatment faster and with less discomfort than traditional orthodontic approaches.
Invisalign® Designed for Real Life

For many adults, convenience matters just as much as results.

With Invisalign, there are no brackets or wires to adjust, and appointments are typically less frequent than with traditional braces. The aligners are removable, making it easy to eat normally, brush and floss comfortably, and maintain your daily routine.

Whether you're balancing work, family, travel, or a full calendar of activities, Invisalign treatment is designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

The Invisalign® Process
"I'm ready to change my smile but don't know how to get started. What is the Invisalign process like?"

Step 1: Come in for your complimentary consultation.
Invisalign clear aligners are custom-made for your mouth and for your unique orthodontic needs. The first step is to schedule a complimentary exam with us to get an iTero 3D scan of your teeth, any necessary x-rays, and check your overall dental health. It is essential that Dr. Bloom makes sure you do not have any underlying dental conditions that could worsen with orthodontic treatment. He will then discuss his findings with you and whether or not you are a good candidate for clear Invisalign® treatment.

Step 2: Dr. Bloom will create a digital treatment plan just for you.
After uploading your iTero 3D scan to the Invisalign® portal, Dr. Bloom will create a customized treatment plan using the Invisalign software. This plan will include any attachments you may need to give the aligners optimal control for the planned movements. The plan is the most crucial part of the process and requires extensive training and experience to produce an efficient treatment sequence.
Step 3: The manufacturing process
After Dr. Bloom finalizes your custom Invisalign plan, the aligners are then manufactured by Invisalign at one of their facilities using 3D printing technology and their proprietary SmartTrack™ material. The aligners are then packaged and mail to our office. The entire manufacturing process takes about 2 weeks.
Step 4: Receive your first series of aligners
During your first treatment appointment, Dr. Bloom and his outstanding team will use a customized template to place any attachments you may need during treatment. These attachments are made of a tooth-colored composite that is practically invisible to others but will provide the grip Dr. Bloom needs to correctly move your teeth. After the attachments are placed, you will receive your first series of aligners and instructions will be given on how properly clean and care for them so they stay clear and fresh. It is necessary to wear your Invisalign aligners at least 20 hours per day to ensure the planned tooth movements are expressed as anticipated.
Step 5: The refinement stage
Once you finish wearing all the aligners Dr. Bloom has prescribed for you, chances are there are still a few finishing touches that need to be made before treatment is completed. These final movements include improving your bite, correcting small rotations in your teeth or closing small spaces. We often refer to this step as the refinement phase of treatment. To complete a refinement, a new 3D scan is taken of your teeth and an updated treatment plan is completed in the software. While these new aligners are being manufactured, Dr. Bloom will ask you to wear your last set of aligners as temporary retainers until the new aligners arrive in the office.
Step 6: Finishing treatment and retainers
Now that you have a gorgeous new smile, its time to show it off to the world! But first we need to remove those tooth-colored attachments on your teeth and polish your teeth. This is simply done with a special dental bur that will clean the composite off without damaging the enamel. Then, a final 3D scan of your teeth will be taken so that your retainer models can be printed on our in-house 3D printer and durable retainers can be made. These retainers will ensure that your teeth stay in place for as long as you wear them.
Now, snap a selfie and show off that amazing new smile with everyone you know!
